week 7

Hi loves,

I'm going to jump right into the outfit details because I just really loved these looks! Keep on scrolling.

As I'm looking at the pictures,  I just realized this is almost an entirely blue outfit, lol.  My tribal tank is from Forever 21 and underneath I have my Pink bralette.  I'm wearing my favorite boyfriend cropped jeans from AE and on my feet are my amazing sandals from Aldo.

When the overall trend came back for the summer, I wasn't sure how I felt about them.  But when I saw this acid wash pair in Forever, I gave in and bought them.  And what do you know, I'm obsessed and so happy I got to wear them!  I paired them with a purple v-neck from Victoria Secret and my white sandals.  I couldn't decide if I liked them with one strap hooked or both so I thought I would share both pictures.  I ended up wearing it with both straps only because it was easier to work.

I am so happy I finally got to wear these shorts!  They're a gorgeous blue color and almost like running shorts.  They're so comfy and have a great fit.  My top is a chiffon-like black blouse from Forever.  I forgot to take a picture of the back but it has 3 straps that cross along the back and that makes if my favorite!  I have to wear a bandeau with it though because the straps are too long.  On my feet are these amazing Jessica Simpson sandals from Marshalls.  They're black gladiator with gold detailing.

I really liked these outfits this week.  And because of the heat I rocked my curls for 2 days!  Hope you enjoyed, mini shopping haul coming soon!

week 6

Hello Everyone!

I'm sooo behind on blogging, I've jsut been super busy lately so now I have to catch up!! I can't believe I'm already on my 6th week interning, only 2 more to go.  The summer really flew by.  This week, I only have 2 outfits to share because unfortunately  I was feeling sick on Monday and couldn't make in to the showroom.  But after resting all day, I felt perfect for the rest of the week!  Hope you like the looks.

I really loved this look, it was perfect for the hot day.  My adorable daisy skater skirt is from Charolette Russe and I believe my white crop top is from there as well.  This is a very simple look to put together yet you still feel so cute!  And on my feet are my pointy black flats from Call It Spring.

I was on the road with Robyn this day.  My black & white, sheer, tribal print button down is from Forever 21 and underneath I have a light blue bralette from Pink.  My light wash jeggings are from American Eagle and on my feet are my sparkly black Toms.  It was so hot today so of course the second I stepped outside, my hair went into a braid.

I loved these 2 outfits because they're so simply but the fact one piece from each look has patterns, it makes them more fun!  Also, you can't beat the great prices for the items.  Hope you liked them!

healthy living

Hey everyone,

So this is my last post for now!  I've had such a busy week I fell so behind!  This post is a health post. I've been a member at LA Fitness for almost 4 weeks and I love it. I've been so much happier and I'm healthier. A few weeks ago, I tried my first ever Spin class. I was super nervous because I heard they're very intense but let me tell you, it was the best workout I've ever had!  I burnt almost 600 calories and was dripping sweat after!  Spin is an indoor cycling class. This is such a great workout because it can be done in all seasons. Our instructor spoke to us and brought us through the workout as if we were actually biking up a mountain, it was amazing motivation. If you haven't tried it yet, I 100% recommend it!!
(A photo off Google in case you aren't sure what Spin is)

So I got the whole working out thing down, now I've just been trying to master the healthy eating.  I love food, I mean who doesn't?  And being Italian and Puerto Rican, I kind of have the best of both worlds when it comes to food. But I realized, if I don't make changes in what I eat, I won't see any real results. So I changed my diet, I'm eating healthier BUT I refuse to eat bland food! I'll eat healthy, but it must have taste.

So for dinner today, I made a Chipotle inspired meal.
This isn't the best picture because I realized I wanted to post about it while I was eating lol. This is one cup of rice, one piece of grilled chicken and mixed vegetables. On top I put one tablespoon of guacamole and one tablespoon of mango salsa. You have to be sure to measure things such as guacamole and salsa because those calories sneak up on you, before you know it, you're through half a tub of guac! This was a decent sized portion, and I didn't want to be hungry soon after so I had a side salad and then another small piece of chicken. Measuring is key when it comes to eating healthy!

I'm going to try to find some more healthy meals!  Hope you enjoyed.

Night night

Hello again,

I'm really bombarding you all but I'll be done soon! I've seen so many YouTube videos like this so I thought it would be fun to do a blog post, but my version. This is going to be my night time routine. I hope you enjoy, I'm defintley going to consider a "get ready with me" post as well.

I shower at the end of the day during the week. I come home from my internship/ work, go to the gym, shower and do it all over again!  I'm the type of person to change products often but these have been my 2 favorites lately. My skin is very sensitive so the Clean & Clear body soap keeps it smooth. This Keratin shampoo and conditioner is a God-sent, nothing but positive things to say about it.

When I get out of the shower, I spritz this on my chest and back. Between loading up with suntan lotion and sweating in the sun, we don't want breakouts on our body, so this keeps me in check!

After I shower, I wash my face with this Neutrogena face wash on my Conair brush. I've been using this soap for a while and it works great for me. I really like this brush also because it realy cleans the face well. In the beginning I used it every other day so it wouldn't irritate my skin.

I then apply this Clean & Clear astringent all over my face to remove any extra dirt.

Following the astringent, I moisturize with Cetaphil lotion. This moisturizes my face so well and doesn't clog my pores.

If I have an breakouts, I apply this acne spot treatment to the problem area and it's cleared in the morning.

So if I wash my hair, I spray my It's A 10 leave in product (this product is my #1 favorite hair product--must have!!) then apply a dime size amount of Bumble and Bumble invisible hair oil to reduce frizz. If I happen to be blowing out my hair, I'll add a bit of the Garnier blow dryig serum to help with sleekness.

So if you don't know, I do not tan well at all. So I picked up this amazing Jergens cream, it made a difference and I didn't turn orange!  I only use this every other day though because I have sensitive skin and sometimes makes me breakout. If I don't use this, I just moisturize wth Aveno.

After I brush my teeth, put on my retainer (got to keep the teeth straight), I apply a little bit of Vaseline to keep my lips soft!

Then it's night night for me!  Hope you like some of the products you see and pick them up to give them a try. I've seen all of these items at CVS and/or Target.

Shopping, shopping & more shopping!

Hello loves,

So this is going to be a short post but I wanted to show you these 2 amazing pieces I got at a store called Threads in New Jersey. When I go on the road with Robyn, we sell to all these boutiques and this being one of them. The difference with this boutique though was that it was not insanely high end, the prices were amazing and not to mention the clothes!
My first purchase was this amazing white cover up by Élan for only $32. I was in deparate need of one and this fit the image in my head perfectly.

The second item are these fabulous white pants by TeaParty for only $34. I've been wanting a pair like these for so long and everyone raves about this brand!  I can use these pants in so many ways for many different occasions, I can already picture it.  I might even pick up a pair in black!

That's all for now, keeping it short and sweet!

Queen B

Hey everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend, I definitely did. On Friday, I went to the Beyoncé and JayZ On The Run concert with my best friends! It was beyond amazing, they put on such a great show...I may or may not have cried at the end lol. I loved the outfit I wore and you're all going to be in shock when it tell you the price!  Keep scrolling for more!

So here it is, the Beyoncé worthy outfit. Both the top and shorts are from Love Culture. This top was a very pale pink/ nude halter top with a low back. It was so comfy. The bottom of the top has black lace but I tucked the shirt in so you can't see it. The shorts are navy blue with adorable detailing on each leg. They were so comfortable to wear. On my feet are my brown sandals with gold detailing from Marshall's. It was a very hot summer night so I wanted to be comfy but still look glamourous!  I think I did a pretty good job. So the total for these 2 pieces was $34.90!! I think that's a great price considering I'll definitely be wearing these pieces a lot more.
So for my hair and face:  I blew out my hair then usedy Conair wand to work some magic. On my face I did a combo of light pink, gold and navy shadows to complement the outfit with brown under eyeliner. On my lips I have MACs Angel with a pink sephora lipgloss over to add some extra shine.

Here's some pictures from the concert, hope you enjoyed! More posts will be following!

week 5

Hiii loves!!

Time for another week full of outfits!  I loved all my outfits this week mainly because I'm wearing something new in each look, and who doesn't love new clothes?! I'm going to have more great posts coming soon, including a workout post, shopping spree and my amazing activity for the week!  Super excited for you all to see, enjoy!

I'm just going to get straight into the details!  I'm obsessed with this black maxi from F21.  You really can't go wrong with this, it's such a basic piece that can be worn in so many different ways (future blog post?!)  Since it is a black maxi, I kept the rest of the look really simple.  Slick back bun, paired with these adorable blue, beaded earrings and my simple white sandals.

On the road and it was stifling out there.  I'll make my way down:  my tribal-ish headband is from F21, I'm obsessed with these and have so many for only $5.  My shirt is this great neon yellow shirt from American Eagle, I got it on clearance.  For my bottoms, I'm wearing these great lace shorts from F21 and I can't even lie, these are 2 years old!  On my feet are my nude flats from Payless.

I am beyond in love with this A-line dress from Forever 21.  Everything about it just screams perfection for summer!  It's flowy and comfortable and you just can't go wrong.  It's navy blue with pink flowers patterned all over.  It is v-neck in the front and has a little v in the back.  You can't see in this picture but there are 2 thin straps that make it even cuter.  On my feet are these adorable brown sandals from Marshall's, the only down side to them is that the knot in between the big toe and second toe really starts to hurt after a while but hey, beauty is pain!

Also, I just realized that in all 3 of these outfits I'm wearing my favorite Michael Kors, rose gold watch with Swarovski crystals.

Hope you liked these outfits as much as I did.  You'll be having more posts veryyy soon!

week 4

Hey everyone!

Sorry I'm behind on posts, I've been super busy!  But now I'm going to give you an overload lol.  4 weeks have already been completed, I can't believe how fast it went! I'll be so sad when it's over.  This week was a little hectic with making appointments for road trips, but always a fun time.

I apologize for my extremley messy room!  This adorable romper is new from Forever 21 and I'm obsessed.  It is navy blue and the pattern is really small polka dots with big flowers all over.  The bottoms of the legs have cute little lace on it to make it extra girly.  In the second picture I'm wearing this awesome sweater/kimono like piece from Marshall;s (only $15!!)  Then on my feet I'm wearing my favorite lace Toms.  On my lips I wore a coral MAC lipstick just to add a little something, plus it helped my tan pop.

This day was another day on the road with Robyn and man it was hot.  My top is from Forever 21.  I love this top because of the pink and purple flowers and the adorable fringe at the bottom.  These are my new favorite cropped jeans from American Eagle and on my feet are my sandals from Aldo's.  On my lips I wore my NARS light pink lipstick to accent the pink in the shirt.

Day number 3 of a long interning week!  So, on this Wednesday I had to be in the office 2 hours early to help unpack and steam clothes for an early appointment.  That explains why I 1) look super sleepy and 2) this outfit is on the very comfy side.  My tribal printed tank is from F21 and underneath I had this great pink bralette also from Forever.  I wore my new Mosimo leggings from Target this day and I really love them but you have to be careful because sometimes I find that certain styles can be a bit see through.  On my feet are my comfy nude flats from Payless.

That's all (for now).  Hope you liked my outfits, I have some really cute ones coming next!

'Merica

Hey everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a really nice weekend full of food! Lol for the fourth of July, I went to my friend Francesca's then on Saturday went to a BBQ with the fam!  Of course, I had to dress for the occasion and be festive. Since I had 2 events, I did 2 different festive outfits, I can't decide which one I liked better. Also, I did some holiday baking!  Enjoy :)

For this hairstyle, I followed YouTuber Nicole Guerriero. It's supposed to be a French braid into a fishtail but I still haven't mastered a French braid on myself, so I did a Dutch braid (inverted French) into the fishtail. This style was great since the weather was damp and rainy!
Day 1 I wore a simple blue v-neck from Delia's. My flag shorts are from Target, 2 summers ago!  Since the weather wasn't too great, I wore my long sweater from Marshall's and on my feet are my lace Toms.
Lastly, I did some festive makeup. On my eyes I did blue Urban Decay under liner mixed with brown in the inner corners. On my lips I wore a red tinted gloss from starts. I wanted to keep both fairly simple since blue and red are both very vibrant colors.

Day 2 I wore a white tank too from F21 with a red bandeau underneath. My shorts are just basic cutoffs from American Eagle. My sandals are also basic white from Aldo's. They're from last summer and in great condition still!

For my makeup, I did very simple eyes with just little brown eye liner since I would be in the best and then did a red lipstick. In my hair I tied a blue bandana to add some blue into the look.

Here we have my July 4th cupcakes!  The cupcake itself is the white batter and blue dye mixed together. For icing, I did 8 with swirled red then the rest with plain white icing , on top of all I sprinkled blue sprinkles!

I hope you enjoyed my festive post!

hey batter, hey batter batter, swing!

Hi loves!

Hope June treated everyone well, it sure did me well!  Can't wait to see what else the summer has to bring. So for my fun activity post of the week, I went to a Staten Island Yankee game with cousins! My baby cousin Logan ran on the field with a player for selling the most tickets in his school. With the tickets, we received unlimited food (hotdogs, burgers, chicken sandwich, chips & drinks). It was a gorgeous day, with a stunning sunset. We even treated ourselves to ice cream and watched an amazing firework show!

SO, of course I had to choose the perfect outfit for this outing, and I wasn't too sure what one wears to a baseball game (I don't do sport events often, lol) so I decided to be comfy, casual but with my fashion flare.

Since I was going to be outside all night, I did very minimal makeup, nothing too much on my face and basic browns on my eyes. I used my Keratin shampoo to straighten my hair, it was sooo soft. And I decided to represent Marist with my baseball cap!
So here I am, rocking my outfit & enjoying an ice cold lemonade. For the night I wore a simple black v-neck from F21, I wore my new high rise jean shorts from American Eagle and around my waist I tied my basic plaid shirt, also from F21. On my feet are my lace Toms, even though they're not in the picture!

So if you're from the area, I would definitely suggest going to a summer game because it's just a fun night with a great view of the water and city. Hope you enjoyed the post!
