week 3 = done

Hi Loves,

So, another week completed and I'm still loving it.  Nothing too interesting happened this week, just taking in as much as I can.  I think the highlight of this week was traveling to Philadelphia with Robyn on Tuesday and getting my first ever Philly Cheesesteak!! I ate the whole entire thing, it was too good to not finish!  Unfortunately, my pictures did not come out too great this week so I apologize for the poor quality.   I really liked my outfits though and I hope you like them too!

I adored this outfit.  My top was a basic light pink crop top, I'm pretty sure from Mandees and over this I wore my floral kimono is from F21.  Kimono's are really in this summer and I'm loving it, everyone should have one.  These high waisted button up jeans are also from Mandees.  These jeans are so comfy and can be dressed up to go out or for a day in the office.  On my feet are my pointy black flats from Call it Spring, they're my favorite.  After I ate my breakfast, I put on my pink lipstick from Sephora to add a little something extra.

This week I went on the road on Tuesday instead of Wednesday.  It was gorgeous out this day so I needed to be comfy.  My orange jeans are from F21 and so is my basic white v-neck. On my feet are my nude, studded flats from Payless. This outfit was very sherbet inspired and was perfect for the 90 degree weather! You can't see them in this picture, but I'm wearing my new earrings that I got for free from one of the boutiques, they were a nice touch to my simple outfit.

So to be completely honest, this dress is 2 or 3 years old and I wanna guess that it's from Target.  I know that when it was bought, I'm pretty sure it was for my sister and she wasn't crazy about it at first, I can't even remember!  But I know I wore it a few times last summer and it's such a simple dress to throw on and still feel cute!  It's a very flowy high-low dress and strapless.  My sandals are new Dolce Vita's from Marshall's.  Marshall's has also been a new obsession because they have so many great items for amazing prices!  I wore my hair curly this day, I was just embracing the summer feel!  (notice a little bit of tan? hehe)

That's all for this week! I'll be making another post soon about my fun weekend activity.  Hope you enjoyed.

A little shopping never hurt anybody...right?

Helloo!!

Soo today...I went shopping. We started off at Target which never ends well lol How can I resist buying at least one thing from Target!?  But I actually had a list of necessary items to get.

Started from the left:

-Clean & Clear astringent. I put a little on a cotton ball after I wash my face to get rid of the extra dirt before I apply my moisturizer. It really helps prevent breakouts.
-Then we have Secret pH balance deodorant with the fresh powder scent. This is my all time favorite deodorant and I don't think I will ever stop using it.
- I recently noticed that my skin is very sensitive. As much as I love the body washes from stores such as Bath and Body Works, they irritate my skin. I started using the Neutrogena Clear Body wash. It really cleared my skin. The only thing is that if you don't moisturize after the shower, your skin will be dry. (If you haven't learned already, I'm a moisturizing freak, lol)
- So, as a lot if you know, I do not tan well. A lot of times I burn, then it just faded (despite the fact I'm Sicilian and Puerto Rican. Also, like I previously mentioned, my skin is sensitive so I hate to burn!  Burning is just not healthy and I definitely don't want wrinkles!  So I decided to buy the Jergens Natrural Glow Moisturizer and this one actually has 20 SPF, so that's a plus!  I've used this before and my friends use it also so I know it's a good product that won't turn me orange!
-Lastly, I bought the Clean& Clear oil absorbing sheets. After a long day of working and traveling in the hot New York weather, my face is oily and that's just not cute! So I'm hoping these can help me out and they aren't supposed to take off makeup which is great!

So that's it from Target...on to Forever 21!
Today we as my first day back at work, and I bought 3 items (shopaholic much?)

When this whole overall trend came back, I was really hesitant about it. But the more I saw them in stores and on girls, I realized, why not try it? I'm still young enough to try out some interesting trends, lol. These are a very acid wash but they're really cute on.

Next I got this adorable romper! It's black polka dotted with tan and white flowers. It's a loose fit and not too short which can always be an issue with rompers.

Lastly, I bought this amazing A-line sundress. I've been looking for something just like this and I couldn't be happier!  It's navy blue with pink flowers. The front and back are v-neck but not too low, it adds a little extra to the dress It looks really short in the picture but not only I'm am really short, it is a lot longer on!

I know this post was long, but I had to share!  Hope you enjoyed!

Where my Brooklyn at???

Hi Everyone!

So I'm still getting the hang of when to post on the blog so right now I might bombard you with 3 or 4 posts hehe sorry!

This past Sunday, my family decided to be spontaneous and walk the Brooklyn bridge!  It's been on my bucket list so I was super excited. Now the reason I'm posting about this is because 1) it was a really awesome activity and 2) I want to give you my outfit details!

So we started the day by going to breakfast at a local diner, Andrews. I ordered these delicious, massive banana walnut pancakes. I couldn't even finish them!  Luckily, I was about to walk them off on the gorgeous day ahead of me.

*New Accesories!*

-80s, retro inspired sunglasses from Aldo's Accesories store. They were 2 for $20 so of course I also got a pair of blue shade aviators
-my necklace is from Forever 21. I believe it was $8.50. It's a gold chain with silver and yellow stones. Simple but still makes a statement.

So for this fun day, I wanted to look cute but still be comfy. My blouse is a button up, collared shirt from H&M. I tucked the blouse into my high waisted, marble wash jeggings  from Against All Odds. My shoes are white with gold studs from Aldo.

The day turned out to be way hotter than we anticipated so I was a little sweaty but it was well worth it because the view and the walk itself was stunning!  If you haven't walked the Brooklyn Bridge yet, I highly suggest it. (Ps, walk from Brooklyn to Manhattan because you get the view of the Skyline)

Hope you all get to experience this and enjoyed the post!

we joined a gym!

Hey loves!

So, the time has come. My best friend and I joined a gym! We've been talking about it for a while now and last Friday we finally signed up for LA Fitness. We got a really awesome college student summer deal that we couldn't pass up. Sooo since I joined the gym, I decided to do weekly health posts, including my favorite healthy snacks!  Since I didn't post last week, this week I'm going to tell you 2 healthy snacks.
The gym is actually really awesome. There's all machines and weights, classes are included and even a pool and sauna (we can't wait to try the sauna). So far, I give LA Fitness an A+.

So, here are my 2 snacks:

So the first picture is PB2 is a peanut butter substitute. It's a powder and you add water and it tastes exactly the same and it's delicious, just a little healthier!

So for the first meal I have 2 rice cakes which are 80 calories each with a tablespoon of PB2 (26 calories) with 2 teaspoons of water. I have this for breakfast a lot or I'll have one rice cake with PB2 as a pre-gym snack.

The second snack is a new favorite. I cut up half of a banana and froze the sliced pieces for about 10 minutes just to chill them. Then I used the PB2 chocolate version! It's just like Nutella! I put a little on each banana slice and enjoy!  They're great little treats.

Hope you enjoyed this post!  I'm going to try to do a healthy lunch or dinner next week.

Personal Shopper, take one

Hey Everyone!

So I thought it would be fun for me to change up my posts every once and while. So here we go!  My best friend is going on a cruise next week and wanted to me to pick out some outfits for her. We went in to a few stores, but found that Charolette Russe had everything we were looking for along with amazing prices. Since she's going on a cruise, she wanted some cute outfits for the nights. This summer, patterned pants are really in, so we tried out a few pairs. I have some pictures to share, enjoy!
I loved all of these first 4 looks and they looked amazing on her. She got the first look which was my personal favorite. She didn't get this second skirt and then when she went home and looked at the pictures, realized the liked it so she'll be going back for that item. This romper is perfect for the cruise and she's wearing it the first day, it's comfortable but can still be dressed up. The last look she didn't get but I loved the combo of the light pink, lace shirt and the pink floral in the pants. All 4 of these looks can be worn just the way they are, or some statement jewelry can be added to pull it all together. We even went searching for an adorable floppy hat to be added to any look!  (Still searching)

The first romper had an open back to it and the color combo was great on her already tanned skin. The navy shorts were perfect for this trip, paired with a white tank then a gold statement necklace would be perfect for a dinner. This third outfit I absolutely loved. Just so simple but so great. Then she bought just the teal shorts at the end to pair with any flowy white top.

I think these outfits are perfect for a cruise because you can dress them up with heels and jewelry or just simply wear them with sandals and wavey, beachy hair. At Charolette Russe, I believe she spent either just below or just above $100. Either way, she got 5 great outfits for her summer getaway!

I hope you enjoyed this post and hope to do more similar ones!

week 2=check!

Hi All,

Another fabulous week at the internship!  I'm still getting the hang of when I post these weekly blogs, so I'll figure out a definite day to do it eventually.  This week was a bit slow in the showroom, but of course still fun.  On Monday and Tuesday I just did the basic things, like putting clothes away and writing order forms.  On Wednesday I went on another road trip to Westchester and had an amazing time!  I learned a lot about the brands and even got 2 FREE pairs of earrings (perks :)).  So overall, good weak, time for my outfits!

I was feeling very summer-y this Monday (and got some colahhh, can ya notice??)  So this daisy patterned top is from Forever 21, super comfy and my teal circle skirt is from Charollete Russe.  Both items soo cheap.  Then on my feet are my comfy little white flats.  In the first picture, I have on this adorable white sweater from Macy's.  This is my go to sweater for the summer.

As you can see, this week I was really getting into my self with the outfits, lol.  This basic, black crop top is from Wet Seale (only $6 I think).  And these are my beloved fancy pants from Forever ( a woman in the elevator complemented me on them).  On my feet are my favorite flats from Call it Spring, they're black, pointy toed and adorable. (also really comfy)

Day Tres.  I knew I would be on the road so I wanted to be comfy, but still cute of course. This top is from Forever 21 and people never believe me when I say that, maybe because of all the detailing?  These are my new favorite jeans.  They're boyfriend cropped from American Eagle.  On my feet are simple white sandals from Aldo.  These are from last summer and still in great shape!

lastlyyy, my adorb earrings that I got from this boutique called Rhodadendron.

So like I said before, still getting the hang of what days to post, but I'll figure it out soon :)  Hope you enjoyed!

week one = complete!

Hi everyone!!

So I successfully completed my first 3 days a my internship!  I absolutely loved it.  I felt like I was in The Devil Wears Prada, lol.  I put clothes in order of delivery date, wrote up order forms, was sent to Saks Fifth to deliver clothes and even got to travel to sell clothes with out account manager, Robyn!  I set up a camera in my room so I can take nice pictures of my outfits to show you all :)

Day 1:
This super cute dress my mom actually picked out for me from JC Penny.  Its purple, blue and yellow with diamond shapes throughout.  Over the dress I wore a light chambray shirt from Marshalls.  On my feet I wore my adorable nude flats with studs from Payless.  This outfit was perfect form my first day because it was really comfy and also all the items were really reasonable!

Day 2:
Basic blue v-neck from Delia's.  A navy and white blazer/kimono from Forever 21.  High waisted button up jeans from Mandees.  On my feet are really simple white flats from Payless.  You can never go wrong with a basic like there.  You can't tell in this picture but I'm wearing a blue Urban Decay eyeliner under my eyes (it has a bit of a sparkle to it too!)

Day 3:
Traveling day!  I wanted to look nice for clients, fashionable and be comfy at the same time.  I traveled to 2 boutiques this day so I wanted to be comfy.  My top is a great, lightweight sweater from American Eagle.  My jeans are high waisted button up from Mandees and on my feet are my all time favorite pointy toed black flats from Aldo's.  Literally, they're the BEST!  Also, you cant tell in this picture but I put on a fuscia lip stain from Tarte to add some color to the look.

Hope you enjoyed the post!  I'll be making a few in between my weekly intern ones with outfits I wear out with friends and to work at Forever 21!

second summer haul :o

Hello all!

So the time is almost here...I start my internship next Monday! I'm so excited! So I went on another little summer/work/internship haul:)

I'll start off with the clothing:

From American Eagle I purchased 3 great tops and 2 jean shorts

The middle and the right are light, summer sweaters. I thought they'd be great with skirts or pants and could be dressed up with statement necklaces. The bright green shirt is just a great summer essential but could be dressed up as well.
Then I got 2 great pair of shorts. The dark washed are high waisted and the light wash are high rise.

I've been wanting a light weight chambray shirt for the summer weather and I found one on clearance at Old Navy!

So then at forever 21 I got 3 amazing necklaces. They could be used in sooo many outfits for this summer. I fell in love!

Lastley, some beauty products. I've been obsessed with beauty YouTubers and wanted to try these 2 products. The first is a stippling brush to apply foundation and blend makeup.  The second product is a power facial cleanser. I got one from Conair, hopefully I like it!

So updating from my last post: I ended up returning the SunIn because I was afraid it would turn my hair orange based off some reviews I read.  The clean and clear acne cream is working wonders along with the Garnier Fructise straightening balm. I have yet to try my Treseme Keratin shampoo and conditioner but I've read great reviews on it.

That's all for now! Next post will be about my first day interning. Wish me luck!
